DIRECTOR LAUREN HANSON
A long-time Goleta Valley resident, Ms. Hanson received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.

- Elected to the Board of Directors in 2008, she served previously as President for two years. In her first year on the board, she served as Vice-President of the Board and Chair of the UCSB Relations Committee. Reelected in 2012, 2016, and 2020. Current term expires in 2024.
- Chair, Water Management and Long-Range Planning Committee.
- Alternate, Administration Committee.
- Represents the District as a Director at meetings of the Cachuma Operation & Maintenance Board (COMB) and the Cachuma Conservation Release Board (CCRB).
Community Involvement
- Member of the Goleta Vision Committee and co-author of its report, A Comprehensive Vision for the Eastern Goleta Valley (2006).
DIRECTOR SUSAN KLEIN-ROTHSCHILD
Ms. Klein-Rothschild enjoyed a long career in the areas of human services and public health. She was the Deputy Director of Community Health at the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department from 2007 to 2018, where she oversaw environmental health services. Today, she works part-time with local governments and non-profits to strengthen organizations and benefit local communities. Susan has lived in Goleta for more than 17 years.

Community Involvement
- Commissioner on the City of Goleta Public Engagement Commission.
- Board member, Together Women Rise, focused on global gender equality.
- Volunteer with the Environmental Defense Council on creek clean-ups.
- Captain with the Beautify Goleta program.
- Poll worker/Supervisor at local election sites.
DIRECTOR DAVID LINVILLE
Mr. Linville is a PhD Candidate in the Anthropology Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). He holds a double Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Anthropology from California State University, Chico; and two Master’s Degrees—one in Ethnology from the University of New Mexico and another in Sociocultural Anthropology from UCSB. David has lived in Isla Vista for four years.

DIRECTOR KATHLEEN WERNER
A retired water chemist, with a degree in chemistry from UCSB, Director Werner has worked in the water field for over 25 years. She has experience in regulatory and water quality issues and local governance. Kathleen raised her two children in Goleta and has been an active member of the community.
