In 2022, the Goleta Water District transitioned from at-large elections, in which residents may vote for multiple candidates, to district elections, in which voters elect a single board member to represent their specific district or area.
The Goleta Water District held elections for directors from District 1 and District 2 in the November 2022 election. The District will hold elections for directors from Districts 3, 4, and 5 in the November 2024 election.
